Lakeside Lindy is almost here! We can hardly wait to see you all fellow dancers!

We will be waiting for you by the registration desk in the Varala main building on Friday from 17.00.  Notice, that the doors will be locked at 22.00. So please arrive before that! If you will be arriving later than that, please let us know!

Single night tickets will be sold also at the door for 35 euros until the doors close (22.00.).  Please bring exact change! No cards accepted!

 Please take some small change with you, since we will be selling some snacks and soft drinks during the party. Varala's own café (Cafe Anna) will be serving only until  20.00.

Also notice, that if you want to have sauna on Saturday evening, please bring a swimming suit! You will need it especially if you want to have a swim in the lake. If you don't have accommodation in Varala, you should bring your own towel as well. You can also bring you own snacks and refreshments to the sauna area. Please notice anyhow, that it is not allowed to consume your own alcoholic drinks in Varala premises other than the sauna building! 

These were just a couple of things highlighted for your attention! You will be handed a camp booklet with detailed information while registering to the camp. Due to popular demand we have now released single night dance passes for Friday and Saturday. The pass includes one taster class and one night of dancing to the amazing Gentlemen & Gangsters! You can buy your ticket in advance using the registration form. The price for the ticket is 30 euros in advance and 35 euros at the door. And of course you can still buy a Party Pass for both evenings for 50 euros! But remember, the registration is open only until 14th of August!

Only one month to go! We are closing the registration in two weeks, so now it is the last moment for all you wannabee mermaids and pirates to sign up! We still have some spots especially for couples and leaders! We have also plenty of space in the Beginners' Track, where especially leaders are needed! Or if you simply want to party for two nights, enjoying the incredible swing of the Gentlemen  & Gangsters, you can buy a Party Pass! So it doesn't matter if you are a beginner or an advanced dancer, or anything in between, the dance floor is yours! Join the party!

It is no more possible to book accommodation through Lakeside Lindy registration, but you can still call Varala Sports Institute directly to ask available rooms (phone: +358 3 2631 111), or you can book a room in any Hotel or Hostel in Tampere center and you will still be reasonably close to the venue. However, the first weekend of September will be full of events in Tampere, so  we recommend you to book your room as soon as possible! In case it proves to be difficult to find suitable accommodation, please contact us: lakesidelindy(at)swingteam.fi . We will do the best we can to help you! 

It is now possible to buy Party Passes! The price is 50 euros and it includes two tasters and parties with live music. Want to know more? Read about the Parties!

If you are a beginner in Lindy Hop, you can choose the Beginners' Track, which includes four lessons (two on Saturday, two on Sunday), lakeside sauna (you can bring your own food and drinks to sauna!), Saturday musicality taster and the party with live music, and  Sunday afternoon tea dance. Finlayson is one of the oldest textile companies in Finland. The factory was founded in 1823 in Tampere, by the Tammerkoski stream. The factory is not in its original use anymore, but luckily the old factory area has a new life full of galleries, shops, restaurants and a big movie theatre complex. The factory outlet of Finlayson can be found from the area too. 

Finlayson has designed Tamminiemi collection in tribute to sauna. The products are created using materials that are as authentic and pure as the sauna experience itself.

Dear fellow Dancers!

The long winter in Finland is over and the ice is melting. Our hearts have melted too and filled with joy, because the registration to Lakeside Lindy is now open!  

For Early Birds we have special prices until  31st of May. You can choose between Full Pass and Dance Only Pass. We will have Party Passes too, but they will be sold from 1st of June only. On our website You can find the most important information You will need for registration and we are constantly adding information to the pages.
